Week 5...6 who really knows.

We are approximately 5 to 6 weeks pregnant, actually who really knows how far along we are. I just had my second round of bloodwork and we are waiting on the levels to come back to make sure that they are doubling as they are supposed to.   Let's just take a trip down memory lane and have a little history when it comes to me and creating tiny humans.

- Baby #1 - Jayden had no real concerns. It was a normal pregnancy; delivered at 40 weeks + 2 days 😜 Talk about a dream!

- Baby #2 - Kayleb. I had low progesterone from the very beginning and several specialist appointments for what we initially thought was probably going to be some birth defects. Thankfully it turned out that was not the case. I also had polyhydramnios; which essentially is too much amniotic fluid. Not to mention Kayleb was always measuring smaller than what he should have been. He was born at 36 weeks and I was on bedrest twice throughout the pregnancy for short periods of time due to early contractions. We all know the story of him having his heart defect post delivery.

- Baby #3 - Landyn was pretty much the same story as Kayleb. I saw a specialist from the beginning as well because of all of my issues with Kayleb, I also had polyhdraminos with him as well. Midway through Landyn's pregnancy they found out I had an anti-thrombin deficiency, which is basically a blood clotting  disorder. I had to take daily shots of Lovenox in the stomach.  At about 25 weeks I went into preterm labor and had to add in weekly high doses of shot to the butt (Eric LOVED doing that) to make sure that he stayed put.  He was a scheduled induced labor at 38 weeks due to the Polyhydraminos. Delivered no issues and no issues since birth.

- Baby #4 and what we know so far. I am at least five or six weeks, whatever you decide or the doctor decides. Starting progesterone once again because my numbers are low and I started on Lovenox as well. Again, not looking forward to sticking myself with the needle every day for the next 253 days or how every many days is it, but you do what you have to do to grow tiny humans, right!?.  The goal is to stay as healthy as possible, continue my workouts with the masters hammer and chisel, and modify as needed. I will continue Whole 30 meal plans with increased intake but not by much. I added in some daily vitamins on top of my already amazing and nutritious Shakeology.

My 2nd round of blood came back great and we are doubling as needed. Sonogram and first pregnancy appointment are scheduled for February 6th and so far though everything seems just normal. (Knock on wood) I had one instance where I drank my chocolate Shakeology in the morning and that didn't sit well. Other than that it's been same ole craziness over here in the TAYLOR household.

We are waiting to tell our friends and family until we get our genetics blood work back and gender. Secretly and shockingly I'm hoping for a girl so I can surprise my momma. She has been dying for a granddaughter and those who know me know that I have NEVER EVER SAID I was having a girl like EVER. So this shall be interesting. Truly though, especially with our history we just want a healthy baby regardless.
