Hammer and Chisel Week 1 Meal Plan

I mentioned last week that my nutrition has been less than stellar the past couple weeks so last week I spent sometime going over my meal plan (something I had been lacking to do) and planned out what our week would look like. With summer quickly approaching and tank tops and shorts everywhere I have found that my body responds the best and quickly to weights (SAYY WHAAAT). I used to be that girl that FEARED weights; that I would become bulky and big. Last year I completed this 60 day program and was BLOWN away with what my body did. SO I decided to take it back to Hammer and Chisel and knock it out before we get knee deep into the spring. I am a HUGE cardio girl so to supplement I have finally started hitting the pavement again with Jayden and plan to get a few runs in a couple times a week. On those days I will definitely increase my protein intake to compensate.  I have also found after completing the Whole30 2 times that my body responds well to a high fat, high protein, low carb nutrition plan. So while I am using my Fix containers to measure my foods and not going completely Whole30 more Paleo inspired with a few modifications. I struggle with Hypothyroidism and PCOS so I try and stick with low GI foods.

My week went a little like this; Thursday planning, Friday shopping and Saturday prepping. Over the past 4 years I have found that when I fail to prep ALL THE WAY, the less likely I am to WIN my week. With as rough as the past few weeks have been there was no way I was leaving anything up to chance. Saturday I got busy and prepped ALL of mine, the kids and Eric's breakfasts which included; Egg & Veggie Hash Bowl, Egg Cups for the kids, 21 Day Fix Muffins, cut up all fruit and veggies for snacks and made up as much of the dinners to freeze that I could. Here's a look at what's on the menu for the week.

You have exactly 3 months (if not sooner) until you will be bearing your legs, arms and possibly breaking out the swimsuit. When you are out shopping the stores are packed with shorts, capris and tanks as a pleasant reminder that maybe you haven’t been as dedicated to your health and fitness over the winter! The first time you try on a pair of shorts it’s blinding, RIGHT!! This just happened to me! The good thing is that those white pasty legs can be fixed with a quick trip to the spa for a spray tan!

But that spare tire or muffin top is not going to banish with the tint of the spray tan! Instead it’s the mad dash to find something to make a change right now! How many times have you said to yourself, “Oh I will just not eat for a few days and then I will be back on track!” Then 3 days later you are binging because you have barely eaten. Or you sign up for a gym membership with great intentions and 2 weeks later you haven’t lost a pound and you are frustrated!!!
So I am coming at you with this BATTLE OF THE BULGE fight to summer challenge group.
If you are wondering what it's all about, here's some of the info:
