Weeks 5-7

So because this was not around when I had Jayden, I decided that I def. wanted to blog my experience being pregnant. However as we all know life has gotten in the way of making this oh so easy. I started secretly blogging each week, however as things got crazy, the blogging stopped but the pictures continued. So I will do a brief run through of weeks 5-14 and from this point forward will blog each week.

Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy, had one melt down this week when the doctor informed me my progesterone levels were low. This really shook me up because I know low progesterone can cause miscarriages. I have started taking 200mg of progesterone and go back in Monday for more blood work, hoping they have good news that it has been elevated.
Looking forward to: Our first sonogram appointment and listening to the heartbeat in 2 weeks. I am also really looking forward to getting to enjoy this pregnancy from start to finish all of the little things I feel like I missed out on with Jayden; maternity pictures, nursery and just enjoying every moment. Last time was a little stressful understandably and so here’s to hoping this one is a breeze. I am also excited to blog my progress with this one and to start planning a NURSERY.

Daddy/Big Brother Moment: It has been so amazing to see the transformation Eric has made. He is already so protective of Jayden so to see him now with the new baby is priceless. The territorial issues have already begun; the “You can’t do this, or You can ‘t do that” it makes my heart melt. He also comes over a lot to touch my stomach and tell me to feed HIS baby. Jayden just can’t stop talking about when his new baby is going to get here. He is bursting with joy.  We aren’t really telling a whole lot of people right now so he knows it is a secret and feels so special for that, but he keeps telling us he can’t wait to tell his friends and his teachers at school

Ok so this week with the race and everything we didn’t take our normal picture. But I did go to dinner with my girlfriends so you get a cute picture and of course my race picture.

Miss Anything? Going to dinner with my girlfriends this week at my favorite Mexican restaurant it was hard with everyone else having a margarita but the food was delicious and I had a virgin strawberry daiquiri so at least I could pretend.
Movement: Not yet
Food cravings: Steak we had it twice this week. It didn’t help that after my race I felt like I hadn’t ate all day. I just wanted to keep eating it.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nothing yet
Have you started to show yet: Nope not yet, but I hear the second time around you start showing much earlier.
Gender prediction: Boy

Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy got all of my blood work back and things were great everything was back up to the levels they needed to.
Looking forward to: Our first sonogram and announcing to all of our friends and family that we are expecting
Daddy/Big Brother Moment: Eric is constantly asking how “child is doing” and making sure things are ok. He is always checking up on me. Jayden is now on this kick when we talk about names he says “how about we name OUR child” lol. It’s so funny to listen to him talk about how he’s going to do this or that with the baby.

How far along? 7 weeks, 2 days
Total weight gain/loss: 2 lbs
Maternity clothes? I broke down and bought a pair of maternity dress pants and a belly band. I know they say the second one comes on quicker but REALLY, already. I have noticed that I wear all of my jeans rather tight and I am down to one pair that feels comfortable and I have been rubber banding those. I will say I didn’t buy maternity pants when I was pregnant with Jayden and man was I missing out these things are SUPER comfortable.
Stretch marks? No new ones but lathering up on the coca butter this time
Sleep: I go to bed Early and am up early every morning anywhere from 3-5AM
Best moment this week: GETTING TO SEE BABY TAYLOR FOR THE FIRST TIME!!! Spending Valentine’s Day with my boys at soccer practice and getting to spend all of Saturday with my niece. We played and she took a nap on my chest. I can’t wait to do this all over again. We also took our announcement picture this week and it was so so fun.
Have you told family and friends: Not all but some
Miss Anything? Nothing really this week except my sleep
Movement: Not yet
Food cravings: Pasta and anything sweet, sour patch kids or any other kind of sweet candy.
Anything making you queasy or sick: This week has been a little rough I have started to get evening sickness and haven’t really felt like eating dinner at all. Gotten sick a couple times and just felt all around nauseous most of the day. Hoping this goes quickly
Have you started to show yet: You can see a little bit of a pouch but nothing serious. I did have someone ask me if I was pregnant and I am hoping it was just because I had my hand on my stomach and was rubbing it (not knowing I was doing it.
Gender prediction: Boy
Labor Signs: No
Belly Button in or out? In
Happy or Moody most of the time: Been really happy up until Saturday. I started having some spotting. Now I know that this is normal so I wasn’t too concerned.  So Monday was President’s Day and we had professional development I decided to go ahead and call the dr. because it was still there. They wanted me to come in as soon as possible so they could check things out. Everything looked ok but he wanted to go ahead and do a sonogram to make sure. So we got to see the Baby for the first time which was sooooooo exciting. Of course I started crying the minute he pulled it up on the screen and when we heard the heartbeat. I can’t believe that there is another little being growing inside of me and I am super excited to go through this journey again. However while he was doing the sonogram, the dr. indicated that there is the possibility that I was having TWINS ahhhhhh. We will no more next week at our next appointment
Looking forward to: Our next appointment on Monday to find out whether or not we are expecting one bambino or two.
Daddy/Big Brother Moment: Eric was definitely excited to see the baby when we were at the drs office and he seems to think that the dr is right and we are having TWINS. It was so cute when I came home from work later that day he said what’d you do with my babies picture. He is already so protective of Jayden its cute to see him that way with the baby too.
