30 Weeks July 25-31st
Total weight gain/loss: 26 lbs
Maternity Clothes: Its the summer so I have lived in yoga pants, shorts, tank tops and maxi dresses.
Stretch Marks: Same ole same ole, lathering on the cocoa butter
Sleep: Uhhh clearly this child is preparing me for when he gets here. Most nights I toss and turn because if I sleep on one side after so long it starts to go numb and I have to switch to the other side. Plus every morning I am up at around 645 like clock work.
Best Moment of the week: The past couple of weeks have really just been about me relaxing and hanging out with the boys. Last week we took Jayden to several surprises (Dallas Aquarium and Dave Busters.) We took Jayden to Oklahoma to meet up with my mom and sister so that he could go visit them for 2 weeks.
Movement: Like crazy I swear this child never sleeps, its like a party in my stomach all the time.
Food Cravings: Nothing really, we started clean eating again so my cravings have kind of went down
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope
Have you started to show yet: Yes
Gender prediction: Boy
Labor Signs: See below
Belly button in or out: In and hoping it stays that way.
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy
Looking forward to: My baby shower coming up on the 11th and for my little boy to come home on the 10th.
Daddy/Big Brother Moment: The boys have been absolutely darling lately. They are both constantly coming up to my stomach and talking to their son/brother or wanting to feel him if he is moving. They have been really great about helping around the house with all of the chores and they even endured registering with me with took 2+ hours. The cutest is when Jayden comes over to me and lays his head on my stomach and tries to listen and then starts talking to him. Eric's been really great to, his thing now is that he can't go to sleep unless he puts his hand on my stomach and feels him move.
Update: Ok so here is part of the reason why things have gotten a little slow on my blogging. As you all know since the beginning of this pregnancy things have been pretty crazy. We have had specialist appointment after appointment, tests, tests and more tests. So on a scale of 1-10 this has been off the rictor scale for anything but a normal pregnancy. As most of you know little man has been measuring smaller. Right now he is measuring about 2.13 lbs and he should be a little over 3 lbs. This puts him about a week or so behind.
We have been seeing a specialist because I have some sort of tissue attachment (I call it a fishing line, cause that's what it looks like) that is super flimsy and they want to make sure its not causing any problems for the baby i.e. him getting caught in it, etc. and so far it hasn't. Well even though he has been measuring smaller, my stomach has been measuring about 2 weeks ahead (I thought that was the Dr.'s nice way of telling me I was just to big) however when we saw the specialist she noted that my amniotic fluid was much higher than the normal range. There are various reasons that could cause this (gestational diabetes, chromosomal issues, etc.) however we have ruled all of those possibilities out as a negative and generally most of the time the reason is unknown. However this puts us at HUGE risk for pre-term labor.
So from last week on we will be seeing our doctor every week from now until delivery. We will be having sonograms every week to make sure that he is continuing to grow at a consistent rate (even if its small) and that my fluid isn't getting any bigger. The dr. will start checking my cervix around Aug 15th to make sure I am not progressing and will also be performing some sort of fetal test (I can't remember the name) that is 99% positive and will let him know whether I will be going into labor with in 2 weeks of that time frame. So I am still supposed to continue with my healthy eating and moderate exercise because that will only help the baby and now I have to wear this lovely maternity belt that is supposed to help with any contractions (it's not the most comfortable thing to wear.)
I am going to try my best to stay updated weekly now especially with all of the Dr.'s visits but with volleyball and school starting and Jayden starting Kindergarten :( (lots of tears) this household is about to get crazy. The one good thing is that I have already had my nesting period and have completely washed all baby clothes, gotten the house ready and organized and things put together. So if something were to happen we would atleast be mostly prepared.
Here are some pics from the past couple of weeks!!
Our latest sonogram and a picture of Jayden when he was born. You can already see a resemblance.
